European Beauty House was founded in 2015 by Elena Smilkova. She was a salon owner back in Bulgaria and when she came to the United States she wanted to create the perfect full-service salon experience where it is all about quality rather than quantity. A year after her daughter Petia Dafova joined as a medical esthetician to contribute to all things skincare. Together Elena and Petia crafted a full-service salon that provides exquisite hair, skin, nails, makeup, and laser services. European Beauty House is a small family-owned boutique salon and our mission statement is to provide an ethical, high-quality salon experience where every client filled with confidence and calmness.

I moved to St. Louis several years ago and struggled to find a hairstylist expert in town that would meet my expectations. Elena went above and beyond- she is a wonderful and very experienced professional who is one of the best I have had the pleasure of working with. I’m so thrilled I found her. Her hair cutting and styling technique is extremely high level and one of the best I have ever experienced. Not only that, she is a kind and wonderful person. Right away I scheduled my next appointment with her and am looking forward to also trying other services at European Beauty House. Overall it was a fantastic experience- excellent service, clean and nice salon, and friendly staff! Highly highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed!!!

I absolutely love The European Beauty House. I originally had my wedding day back in October but due to some problems we had to post pone our wedding to May 5th. We still got legally married, and I still wanted to feel beautiful that day, so I booked an appointment online. I thought I had booked for makeup and hair. I messed up and only did make up. I showed up and Petya did my makeup. She was absolutely wonderful. Such a sweet person and an amazing make up artist!! I looked better than the picture I brought in. I asked about my hair and technically they didn't have time for me. Instead, between services, they did my hair while I was getting my make up done. It was a fairly simple style since they couldn't do a full bridal hair style, but I felt beautiful none the less. Having my hair curled beautifully, and it lasted all day! Now come to Friday may 5th. I originally had a whole different group of make up artists but they just didn't make me feel comfortable like Petya did. I rebooked with them and also had 3 of my girls get their make up done. (If I would have planned better, I would have also made sure my girl's hair got done there too, but they were booked up). Once again an amazing experience. Petya knocked it out of the park on my make up and my girls makeup. Elena also did an AMAZING job on my hair. She did exactly what I wanted and also added some pizzazz that I didnt even known I wanted. I cannot love a place more than here. They take extremely good care of you and I would highly recommend this place to any bride! They do an amazing job and are beautiful people to be around. Truly an uplifting wonderful group of women that work here. I cannot brag about them more. Go here and feel beautiful, you won't regret it!

I started going to EBH when my Nail technician opened her business there. Since I have had the pleasure of having Petya as a Esthetician. I highly recommend her, not only does she put you at ease and makes sure to tell you every step of the procedure she very educated on new techniques. Her kind demeanor is just icing on the cake.
