IPL Facials

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL,) is an intense, visible, broad-spectrum light that heats and destroys brown spots, broken capillaries and sunspots on the face, neck and chest. This technology is used in our IPL photo facial here at European Beauty House. An IPL Photo facial treats skin with quick, powerful flashes of light; the light penetrates below the skin’s surface to target where brown/red discoloration lives. Then the heat works to break down the pigment into tiny particles, which either rise to the skin’s surface as scabs, or get carried away by the body’s lymphatic system.

If you have acne and you are looking for the best solution to get rid of it, then IPL photo facial is the solution you need. More and more doctors are recommending IPL photo facials for patients with severe acne or acne scarring, as well as other conditions like sunspots and age spots (through targeting blood vessels), and fine lines.

With just a few sessions, IPL treatments can clear up even the most extreme cases of facial acne and/or acne scarring. With alternatives like oral antibiotics that can be harmful to some patients, IPL therapy is a safe and easy option for acne removal.

IPL (Intense Pulse Light) for Vascular can be used to effectively treat broken capillaries, spider veins, red spots, cherry angiomas and rosacea. The IPL treatment works by blasting damaged vessels back into the bloodstream, allowing the body to reabsorb these vessels a few days after treatment.

About Laser Hair Removal

Please contact us at 636-220-2798 for additional clarification or if you cannot find an answer to your question

During laser hair removal, the laser emits an infrared light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the hair follicles. This destroys or delays future hair growth.
The laser can only target hairs with medium-brown to black pigmentation. It will have no effect on blonde, white, grey or red hairs.
The hairs can only be destroyed when they are in the ANAGEN (growth phase). Therefore, multiple treatments are needed.
You will notice that 85-95% of hairs will shed post-treatment. Don’t worry about a little patch here or there… we will get it your next treatment! Your hair will be reduced after each treatment. Remember, not all hairs are in the same phase at the same time, and we can only kill hairs in the anagen (growth) phase. With that being said, not all treatments will have the same “WOW factor”. Your results will be cumulative.

Yes! The U.S Food and Drug Administration approved Laser Hair Removal in 1997.

Yes, as with any cosmetic procedure there are possible side effects which can include:

  • Mild swelling around the hair follicles
  • Pigment changes may occur, especially in those with darker skin – these changes are usually temporary, but in rare instances can be long-lasting
  • Redness and irritation of the skin
  • Blistering, crusting, scarring, or other changes in skin texture

Unfortunately, yes. The technician will have to work around the tattoo. Laser light attracts itself to pigment so that area has to be avoided. We advise completing the laser hair removal process before getting a tattoo.

European Beauty House will not conduct laser hair removal treatments during pregnancy. With your physician’s consent, it is considered safe to undergo laser hair removal while nursing.
